Countryfile - Dame Judi Dench special
She got to paint, she got to "see" a golden eagle or two, she got fancy grub made for her, and all she had to do to get it was go to Scotland and be on BBC1 primetime.

Arena - The Many Lives of Richard Attenborough - Part One
From 2003, repeated to mark his centenary. This half ran up to his work directing the film of "Oh What a Lovely War", coincidentally being filmed as the Iraq War was starting (the doc, not the 1969 anti-war film obviously)

A British actor for once to end the latest series. Shamefully they omit his entire 1980s career - can't imagine why they would want to omit gems like The Lair of the White Worm?
Discovering: Leonardo di Caprio
Series 16, baby! Cool

As above, but Part Two, so his other directing efforts, up to Gandhi and beyond, and also his outside campaigning stuff, like trying to get a statue for Nelson Mandela. Finished with a good chuckle as he read his contract for the Arena show he was already shooting.

The Listening Post
Back from a break filled with repeats/specials, with a look at the sportswashing antics of Saudi Arabia, and the apparent rise of atheists on Youtube, and their war with Christian Nationalists in the USA.

To Be Perfectly Frank
Repeat from 1977 about the Making Of Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em, looking at why so many former stuntmen from Dr Who were now working on a sitcom instead, and Michael interviewed from his stage work. No Michele Dotrice at all.

The Footage Detectives
Mainly letters from viewers, though they at least paid tribute to the late actress Patricia Dainton. Apparently after she gave up acting to look after her family, she then worked in WH Smith for 20+ years.
