NFL 2023-2024 Season

After giving lots of praise about the 49ers this season, they lose wide receiver Deebo Samuels with injury and the whole attack starts failing.
And their quarterback Brock Purdy is starting to look inconsistant and missing easy throws.

I believe that it's a bye week next and Deebo's expected to return after that.

I see that Jimmy Garoppolo returned to play for the Raiders. He officially had a bad day and now leads the league in interceptions depite missing a few weeks injured.

^^ Purdy did suffer a concussion the previous week. Trent Williams is a key loss on the O-line, CMC isn't fully fit. The defense hasn't been as effective, not helped by a new Coordinator who called an all-out blitz before Half-time against the Vikings which resulted in a TD and contributed to a loss. Bosa missed training camp due to a contact holdout, he's having an average season by his usual standards. The 49ers general play has been fine, just mistake ridden, giving away great field position with fumbles and interceptions. This is the first real setback of his career, don't forget Purdy has come back from injury last year and still went 5-0, I doubt that he has full strength in his throwing arm even now. The int's are a concern for a QB who has a very low percentage in his shot career. Still lots of positives, I thought his scrambling was a good addition to his game, hopefully the bye-week will give them time to iron stuff out.
After playing on the previous Monday Night the Niners had a short week, only 6 days prep, the Bengals had 14 days coning off their bye. Credit to Burrow, he had a flawless game, back to his best after injury.
3 very though losses, against the Browns, Vikings and Bengals all decent teams. As a top ranked team, they don't have an easy schedule, they still have NFC West leaders Seattle to play twice in 3 weeks with the Eagles in between.

Week 8 - Giants 10 - 13 Jets (O/T)
Some crazy stats, with the Giants dominating in time of possession, had a great chance of victory despite having -9 passing yards. The Jet also had 2 fumbles. The Giants punted 13 times and the Jets 11. A game for the purest.

Raiders have fired Head Coach Josh McDaniels and GM David Zeigler.

I saw a bad injury for Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Cole Holcomb last night against Tennessee. He was stretcher carted off after his leg seemed to bend back awkwardly after a collision with teammate and safety Keanu Neal.

The curse of Jimmy Garoppolo strikes again

Sacking McDaniels, Zeigier and a few other coaches is expected to cost owner Al Davis 85 million dollars.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick was asked if he would be open to McDaniels returning to the team if he had interest, but he failed to reply.

Can the high scoring Dolphins perform against a frugal Chiefs defense. Miami average almost 34 points per game, KC give up just 16.

The Patriots have become a really bad team. It was proved yesterady when they played Washington, and at home, and still failed to beat them.

They are a the bottom of the standings with just 2 wins this season. There is only the Cardinal's with a worse record.

Belicheck must be wanting to finish last so that he gets the 1st choice is next year draft.

The Raider's new head coach benched Jimmy Garoloppolo, in favour of rookie Aidan O'Connell. And this helped them beat the Giant's 30-6.

As many suspected the cast of stars and coaching scheme at the 49ers made Jimmy G look better than he actually was.
