GB managed a 2-1 consolation win against Kazakhstan.

GB done rather better against the mighty, er, Colombia. This means we return to the Finals group stage in September, apparently.

And in that group stage GB have been drawn with Australia, France and Switzerland.
All kicks off in September.

First tie for GB in Group B then is v Australia.

Jack Draper beat Thanasi Kokkinakis 6-7 (6-8) 6-3 7-6 (7-4) to put GB into a 1-0 lead.

And Dan Evans has just seen off Alex Di Minaur 6-1 2-6 6-4 to seal the tie with just a doubles contest remaining.

What an incredible climax to proceedings in Manchester. Team GB needed to beat France to qualify for the finals in Málaga.

GB drawn against Serbia next.

So the next round is going to be played at Malaga Spain.

I'm unsure as to who plays who, does a team get a pick or are they drawn.

So Serbia will win the 1st rubber thanks to have world no1 Djokovic.

But the world rankings show that their no2 Lasio Djere is at a ranking of 37.

GB have two players in Evans and Norrie with a higher ranking (27 & 17).

If GB get the pick then they can pair either Murray or Draper against Djokovic, and let Norrie take on Djere. And save Evans to partner Skupski in the doubles.

GB indeed lost to Serbia.

But Italy ended up winning it for the first time since 1976.
