My Super-Rich Holiday: Ghana
Eddie Kadi takes Guz Khan to hob-nob with art gallery owners, top chef, afrobeat DJs and more. But the system of Ghanaian first names seems to leave a bit to be desired.

Inside the Mind of Agatha Christie
Rather predictable run-through of the life and motivations of the great crime writer. In that Billy Wilder series, he compared her with someone else I've forgotten, I think that she wrote great plots but lousy characters, and the other was vice-versa.

The Unofficial Science of... Die Hard
Chris Ramsay and Paul Chowdhry discover that several stunts from the film would have been quite drastic fo' real. Also including the puzzle aspect of the superior 3rd film in the franchise.

6.6 And just like that, it's "and away!" for the series. Much pointed reminiscence of them having done 6 years, here returning to the site of their very first episode. Bob is fairly immobile, but still manages to nick off to Bakewell to buy Paul some special tackle. Presumably there'll be at least another Christmas special.
Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Hogmanay Fishing
6.x Och hoots the noo, aff tae bonnie Scotland etc, where the fish are so lively that our heroes rather fail to catch many of them. Paul nabs a grilse, and spots a leaping salmon, but that's it. However, Ted is along for the ride, Arabella Weir joins them as a special Scawtish guest, and after the awards, Clare Grogan also turns up for a curt chat, before singing them out, with the rest of Altered Images and I Could Be Happy ("all of these things I do to get away from you" / "how can I escape from you?" er, did you think that through, lads? ).

A fitting seasonal tribute, even with more fishing than catching/releasing.

Talking Pictures: Glenda Jackson
A new edition to cover the late great double Oscar-winner. Handily she did an ep of This Cultural Life, which gave a more modern bit to balance out turns talking to Michael Parkinson and David Soul (eh?)

Together Forever: Nanette Newman & Bryan Forbes
Mostly related by Nanette, with some voiceover from Derek Jacobi, the story of one of British cinema's many acting couples, the many friends they made, from Peter Sellers to Katherine Hepburn, and their many books, and two daughters.

Robson Green's Weekend Escapes
A new series, starting with him taking Kevin Whately to Alnmouth for fun with border pipes, sand pictures, and skiff rowing, though Kevin has gone by the time of the willow weaving. It says a lot about the influence of Gone Fishing that "the accommodation" has been taken up as a point of interest in shows like this and the Hairy Bikers.
