There has been a collision between two planes on the runway of Tokyo airport.

It appears that a small light aircraft was taking off when an Airbus a380 was landing.

The light plane was destroyed killing the 5 passengers on board. The airbus landed on fire but they managed to evacuate all 379 passengers off safely despite the plane being on fire. It was worked out that they were all off with 90 secs.

The Airbus is still on fire.

^ quite the miracle they all got off that plane alive. They reckon the swift evacuation was down in large part to the orderliness of Japan Airlines and the domestic passengers, I'll go along with that.

R.I.P. to the coast guard plane passengers, who themselves were in earthquake relief efforts.
