The Daily Show w/Jon Stewart
Bumped to appear later in the week, he compares the Trump trial with supposed scandals which his base feel are more serious, such as Boy Scouts of America changing its name to reflect that girls have been included for at least 5 years.

8 - Cheddar
I didn't expect the series to run this long. A largely vegetarian round-up with cheese, quiche, celeriac and kale, washed down with a chocolate milkshake.
AREB
9 - Melton Mowbray
Adam enjoys a good pork pie, followed by boiled sweets. Then he drifts off to Leicester for a sort of chicken curry, then a macaroni & red leicester cheese doughnut (I've never eaten macaroni, but red leicester is a top cheese choice).

York - A City Where The Past Is Ever Present
Telly Savalas didn't do this one, either, but the sonorous Valentine Dyall made the best of cliches about history, "where yesterday lives today", the place where Guy Fawkes was born and baptised, whereas Dick Turpin was convicted and hanged, the Ouse, the Minster, and so on...

The Listening Post
Why trying to squash al Jazeera shows a lack of moral fibre, and blogger Akash Banerjee talks the still ongoing Indian election and how Modi gets away with being so racist he makes Netanyahu look moderate.

Michael Palin on... the Colourists
BBC4 repeat from 2000, where the global fidget looked at a group of 4 Scots painters who combined some of the French style to their works. I might have found it more interesting that one of them, "Bunty" Cadell, seems to have pronounced his name Caddle rather than Cad-ell. Maybe that infers the paintings didn't win me over.

10 - Scone
Adam returns to Scawtland to try tattie scones & a "Full Scawtish", haggis-neaps-n-tatties, a sausage casserole and shortbread for afters. Yet despite being in Perth, he didn't bother with Dundee cake.

An entertaining series overall, hopefully he'll have enough viewers to justify a 2nd series. He turns 50 tomorrow, apparently Cool

Last Week Tonight w/John Oliver
Excoriating the idiotic "Rwanda" scheme, and then the worrying ways that settlements from the US opioid crisis are being wasted on foolish anti-crime measures rather than drug prevention schemes.
