They can promise anything as they are not getting into power..getting more football on free to air channels would not be looked at until next round if allocating matches to various tv companies. Even at that time the likes of Sky who need as much footie on their channels they can get will fight it..

Just waiting for this week's list of Ed Davey pie in the sky promises..

I get the feeling neither Labour or the Cons would want a coalition with the Lib Dems as I think both would want absolute majority to goven by themselves.

As for Ed Davey's promise he probably could promise a first space flight to the moon from Uk and still wouldn't get in..

This is for two reasons. Firstly, although the Lib Dem’s are polling roughly where they were at the last election, the Tories polling position is so much weaker. Secondly, tactical voting, in constituencies where it is a contest between the Tories and the Lib Dem’s there will be Labour, Green, and other left wing voters willing to lend their vote to the Lib Dem’s to kick the Tories out.

yeah a lot of seats in the south east more likely to fall to the lib dems or maybe greens than labour

think thats why gove jumped before he was pushed out seemed like it was going to be a casualty there
