^^ It sounds like it's not the only total farce, ridiculous that only one semi has a reserve day, either both should, or non, unfair as it stands.

How they ever came up with that, I do not know, I would hope that for the next one, they ensure that both semis have a reserve day, so that there is no bias to any team regardless. The forecast doen't look great, does it? It's not just a farce, it's absolute madness!!

Afghanistan made it to the semi finals but only just. In so doing they have sent Australia crashing out.

But what a remarkable game it was.
Afghanistan laboured horribly after electing to bat first and it took a bit of final over hitting from Rashid Khan to get them up to a paltry 115/5 off their 20 overs.

Then it promptly bucketed it down with rain which cleared and Bangladesh had a stonking first over in reply only to fall to 31/3 before the rain came again with ten more balls required of the innings to constitute a match.
A rained off match would see Afghanistan qualify. Bangladesh could still qualify themselves if they chased the target within 12.1 overs.
Rain stopped and out they came again to resume play.
Bangladesh could not score quickly enough and lost regular wickets slumping to 92/8.
The score crept up to 105/8.
Bangladesh could still win but not qualify. Eleven runs needed.
Afghanistan desperately needed the last two wickets.
