Great match between Austria and Netherlands, really impressed with Austria - a surprise gem in this tournament.

As for England, all I'll say is it can still only get better.

I'll be surprised if we even do beat the Dutch, but the way we are playing and on the evidence we've seen and heard - Southgate couldn't inspire them to beat a team of dustbins or even the Lionesses. He makes Ally's Tartan Army of '78 look exciting to watch.
I don't think we'll even beat the Dutch - even if they put out a reserve side.
How we ever won that group by scorimg just two goals I'll never know. Easily the lowest scoring group and te least entertaining group in the whole competition. (I've probably got part of that wrong).

I'd love to see Southgate's face for a press conference and there's no one there to ask him a single question if we lose Sunday he should resign pronto and the FA should take a punt and offer the job as a joint mahagement thing to Shearer and Lineker. They can't do anu worse can they?
Note to Steve Holland - hide Southgates' pass, or lock him in his room and pick the team Sunday please!! Southgate shouldn't be anywhere nesr the stadium!!

Failing that they should get a manager in who has a record of teams playing attractive attacking football, and has won things, that attracts people. I would not be surprised if our first game at Wenbley after this farce ends up being half full.

Will Bellingham & Foden be remembered as this generations Gerrard & Lampard ?

Bellinghams game stats were awful - lost the ball 16 times and only won 2/9 duels for the ball.

One thing I didn't like was a few England players throwing their arms in the air when things went wrong. Rice in particular was guilty.

Much improvement needed

I doubt Pep could get a tune out of this lot,many talented individuals but not a team.

So things are getting clearer.
It will be England v Netherlands unless the Czech Republic beat Turkey or Georgia defeat Portugal in Group F tonight.
If either of those things happen it will be Slovakia as the round two opponents in Gelsenkirchen.

Make that a double lead a bit to late but i thought i chip in.

Georgia have claimed a sensational win against Portugal 2-0.

This means it will England v Slovakia in round two. The Netherlands bullet has been dodged.
