Danny Glover travels from St Louis to Dogon Country, which is to say from Senegal to Mali, taking the Bamako Express, but also a boat ride and more. Danny took his wife and an interpreter or two, and seemed to find it a rewarding and enriching experience.
GRJ
Stoke City fan Nick Hancock tries his luck going from East to West in Cuba, in a journey where trains sometimes work, and sometimes don't, leading to several "making other arrangements" bits. He also adds levity with a book on multiple loopy CIA plots to kill Fidel Castro, most of which fail because they can't get the stuff.

1 - 1970s
Clipshow format which did at least bother with some early stuff as well as more familiar clips.
PW - SSY
2 - 1980s
More of same, with Naked Video and Kick up the Eighties included, but French & Saunders presumably held back to next week. Some amusing choices reputedly being ones Paul wrote or co-wrote, and an early appearance in a Fry & Laurie sketch.

Another summery special with Tom Brook, picking classic French films ahead of the Olympics, such as Cyrano de Bergerac and Amelie.

Talking Pictures: Alec Guinness
A late 80s chat with Barry Norman, an early 70s profile, but mainly a good chunk of his chat to Parky around the time of Star Wars. A few physical moves, and the moving story about James Dean.

The Sky at Night - Webb Telescope: The Story So Far
2 years on, and a chance to revisit some of those involved, to find what progress has been made. Quite a lot, though as some describe it as taking 6 years to get a fuller picture, there's obviously a long way to go.

Stories From Lakeland
Kenneth MacLeod narrates this early 1960s look around the Lake District. Some bits won't have changed in the last 60 years.
