RE: Euro 2024 Qualifiers & Tournament
I'd like to see Eddie Howe but the comp they would have to pay Newcastle probably would rule him out.
If it's going to be foreign, then you'd have to look at someonw with the same kind of mindset, man-management skills as Klopp, but Klopp I think has already ruled out international management.
If iti's NOT Potter or Howe, then probably it more likely HAS to be Bielsa or maybe Tuchel but certainly to have Wiegman as an interim would be too much on her plate. but If they could tempt Emma Hayes back and pair her with Wiegman then that interim idea might look a bit more of a better way to run the team until a far permanent solution is found. But I would think they will go with Potter.
The other thing i'd like to see is the FA put a manager in place who can really take England further and make the team winners. There's still a lot to England that needs to shine.

RE: Euro 2024 Qualifiers & Tournament
I was just thinking today about the appropriateness of Southgate’s timing.
The question asked of any England manager is: can you win a major tournament? Obviously, the answer, in hindsight, is ‘no’. But how did I feel after every tournament he led?
1. Russia 2018. Against all expectations, he reaches a semi-final. Relatively easy run and they lost to every ‘big’ team they faced. But compared to recent history and where we were when he started, a big step up. Absolutely no doubt in my mind that he should stay on.
2. Euro 2021. Goes one step further to a major tournament final, defeating some decent teams along the way, and only losing on penalties. Still forward progression. No doubt that he should stay.
3. Qatar 2022. Drops out at quarter final in a game I think England could have (should have?) won. A step backward. There is now some doubt about whether Gareth can do it. But based on recent history, he has done enough to get the benefit of the doubt.
4. Euro 2024. Scrapes through to a final, riding his luck with last minute goals and penalty shootouts. Loses handily to a far superior Spain. It’s a final, but there is still some doubt that he can take it all the way. And he’s already used up his ‘benefit of the doubt’. Time to go.
To his credit, Southgate knew this too and walked out with head (rightly) held high.
Arise Sir Gareth…
