Gabon: Earth's Last Chance
The perhaps doomed efforts of President Ali Bongo and his Mancunian environment minister to try and thwart climate change, illegal loggers and illegal gold miners, as well as trying to prevent war between humans and starving elephants. Despite winning re-election, the army usurp control and make dubious claims of corruption against them. So, a rather gloomy ending.

Monitor - Down Cemetery Road, with Philip Larkin and John Betjeman
A revised repeat from late 1964, as the jovial JB visits Hull to sing PL's praises to his face. They walk through a graveyard to make the most of it. More telly that wouldn't happen now.

The Sky at Night - Nicky, NASA and the Next Frontier
Dr Nicola Fox is a hotshot at NASA, which is good going for a lass from Hitchin. She was also at Imperial College with Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock, so whilst in town, they went to the old place to talk about old times and new. And she had a shorter chat with Professor Chris Lintott about shop.

Last Week Tonight w/John Oliver
Why Tim Walz is better than JD Vance, and why & how the US has treated Hawaii like a punchbag worse than any other of its States.

The Weekend Millionaires
Another of these cheapy London-centric efforts, this time on the Watermen and Lightermen, or dockers and "stevedores", so it was the usual stuff about camaraderie & nepotism, all cruelly crushed by the invention of the container, such that the Woolwich Ferry now seems like a plush job.
