Big Ears looks at the detective genre, singling out Ruth Rendell and Val McDermid as impressive.

Tommy Cooper's [30] Greatest Moments
Another generally positive round-up with a few less-familiar clips, and other magicians and admirers & so on. Charmingly, they picked his fez as his top moment.

The Bottom Line
Steve Clemons talks first to David Catanese and Simon Rosenberg about Kamala Harris' Presidential prospects, and then to Joost Hiltermann about the latest gloomy Middle East picture.

He takes GRR Martin as seriously as Tolkein, but spares Rowling only the thinnest of mention. He clearly has more time for Terry Pratchett. Which I can well understand.

Wow, they must be sloshing in the budget, Ian went to Barra this week.
Classic Movies: The Story of The Producers
No jollies to Broadway, though. Steve Punt was a guest contributor. I'd have liked them to mention that Bialystock, despite being a rogue, treats Bloom with respect and kindness (eventually).

A new series, and after a somewhat disspiriting first half, she did get to visit a coal mine and then Taiwan, as an antecedent was a miner who became (and died) a Japanese POW.
WDYTYA? Paddy McGuinness
He's refreshingly a blank canvas, but turns out happy with what he learns. In fact, he uses the key adjective "mind-blowing" so often, you almost expect him to tell us the lady historian has an amazing arse laugh
