Jane McDonald: My YORKSHIRE
Quite a long trip around various touristy places like Esholt, Haworth, Holmfirth, Leeds, Wakefield, and so on. She met a few pertinent celebs along the way too, like Bernie Clifton, and Fraser Hines. She spoke a lot about her parents and her brother, who I assume must be dead.

No jollies to Broadway, though. Steve Punt was a guest contributor. I'd have liked them to mention that Bialystock, despite being a rogue, treats Bloom with respect and kindness (eventually).
Classic Movies: The Story of I'm All Right, Jack!
Boulting Bros larks, and Steve Punt stays on. At least they tried to cover the wider politics about a missile factory rather than just falling for Peter Sellers' masterclass.

He's refreshingly a blank canvas, but turns out happy with what he learns. In fact, he uses the key adjective "mind-blowing" so often, you almost expect him to tell us the lady historian has an amazing arse laugh
WDYTYA? Mel C
Odd scheduling since she too is a North-Westerner looking for Irish links. But her story turns towards social reforming and the Irish famine.

Parkinson: The Alec Guinness Interview
This 1997 revised repeat looked back to 1977, when Sir Alec was in an Alan Bennett play (and chuffed with it), but also obviously in Star Wars. He spoke warmly of Bennett, and also TS Eliot, not to mention the story of Grace Kelly's tomahawk.

Bryn Fon - Searching for the Sons of Glyndwr
A curious Welsh nationalist campaign that led to the firebombing of 2nd homes, leads to the arrest of a Welsh nationalist rock star. Repeated as a weird celebration of a guy turning 70.

Comic actor who was so smart in real life he even made it onto newsreels for being such a keen astronomer. Things tailed off later in his career, though.
TBF - Alistair Sim
I rather regret not catching the whole series; an inevitable joy since Sim was a fine all-rounder at dramatic and comedic roles, wowed on stage and screen, and did no end of good for the young George Cole.

Barack Obama talks to David Olusoga
Half an hour from 2020 when he had his book out (the former US President, that is). Somehow filmed with only a short mention of covid.
