I suspect the polls will remain razor tight through the run-in, which will make all the reputable prediction models hover around 50%. A coin-flip on election day. I am sceptical, however, that all the swing states will swing in different directions, such that Pennsylvania 2024 becomes like Florida 2000.

All the swing states are within the margin of error, so I’m guessing that they will all break in one direction or the other — either a thumping great win for Harris, or a thumping great win for Trump.

Just a hunch. No maths involved.
