Subservience - (2024).

I have a love of AI films as I've possibly previously stated in other movie reviews. However this one was a total rip off from M3GAN imo (kind of coincidental that the movie M3GAN has the same name as the main star in this Smile).

However the reason I watched this was purely because it's AI and Megan Fox is the AI lol.

Although it does have similarities to other AI movies, it has more of an adult theme to it. I was actually genuinely surprised by Megan Fox in this - I actually thought she was really good and she did a good job - There are times where she looks sexy as hell!, plus this is possibly one of her better movies to date imo.

Film 5.5/10
Megan Fox sex appeal 12/10 Big GrinBig Grin

Terrifier 2.

I like to think I am numb to most gore in horror films but some of the kills in this had me saying "holy shit" out loud several times. What it lacks in plot it makes up with Gross Gore Galore.

Salem’s Lot (2024) 3/10 very disappointing adaptation of the Stephen King novel. The vampires look creepy but everything else is bad.

The 1979 TV version is far superior.

Alien: Romulus

Ridley's really flogging a dead Horse with this effort. Special Effects are decent enough and the cast is OK but it's basically the same story with a few tweaks. I gave up after an hour so I won't bother giving it a score Rolleyes

The recent remake of The Stand was exactly the same. The Original TV Mini Series didn't have the flashy effects but the cast & acting was so much better.

The Cell.

A rather far fetched thriller where a social worker/psychotherapist goes in to try and get into the head of a comatose serial killer to work out where his last victim is held before they inevitably die after a 40 hour time limit.

I mean it's pretty deep and intense stuff but parts of it are just rather ridiculous.

5/10.

Venom: The Last Dance

The 3rd & final film in the Venom trilogy which is a really good fun & entertaining comic book film with excellent special effects & excellent action set pieces.

There are 2 post credit scenes, 1 partway through the credits & one after the credits which set up the future of the Sony/Marvel Spiderverse & the future of Venom himself

8/10

RoboCop (1987)

Excessively violent, Special Effects that were dubious even by 1987 standards and utterly brilliant. A genuine action classic that makes the slick, expensive 2014 remake look very average indeed.

9/10.
