When the orange faced Donald Trump appeared out of the garbage truck wearing a hi vis jacket, all I could think of was a very large oompa loompa.

Well we will get one of two possible outcomes.

1. America will be fucked but not as fucked as it could be.
2. America will be totally fucked and so will the rest of the world most likely.

Either way it's a bit of a disaster really.

It would be a fascist regime. The Rich are funding it, and some people have bought into it. Just a bunch of fools thinking as long as the evil Libs stay out of power, everything will be "great again".

It sounds pretty harsh saying that about my country, but it's the reality. The extreme MAGA don't care about reality. They don't care as long as they win and get to spread their hate until they find that Greatness

^I guess sometimes you probably wish that there was a third independent candidate that could split the vote either way, but I guess that wouldn't even help the situation the USA now finds itself in. I think tbh it's not a good look for American politics to have a convicted person in the White House. The rest of the western worlld must be wondering how far the dominoes will fall in the US that could have a ripple efffect elsewhere.

THe way things are looking I wonder if the special relationship could withstand a 2nd Trump Presidency.

There is. She's called Jill Stein and claims to be a Green Party candidate. In swing states she could be very dangerous by taking votes from Harris. Indeed she did precisely that when Clinton ran against him and cost Clinton the election. Her campaign openly admit they want Trump to win. Oh and for a Green Party candidate she has money invested in fossil fuel companies which rather shows what a fraud she is.
