No denial on my part but seriously they voted in a convicted rapist, charity fraudster, famous for not paying his bills, 6 times bankrupt, instigator of an insurrection etc etc etc. That's stupid in my language. A bit like believing the lies from the Boris and his Brexiteer friends
I voted remain. I know a lot of people who voted leave. And, to a man, none of them believed the shit Boris was pedalling. They did it for their own reasons.
Trump, the first time, was an anomaly. It shouldn't have happened again, but it did. And then some.
A lot of people need to wake up to what's happening in the democratic world, instead of just calling the other side stupid for not doing what they're told.
We need to find that voice that can resonate and break thru the haze of hate most of us live with. The true "enemy within" is the driving force now
It doesn't have to
As we can see, policies mean nothing

RE: US Election & Presidency
The Left in America, might try a different approach this time…
Instead of “resistance”, how about “acceptance”?
Trump bends the Republican Party to his will. Who cares if he talks like an extremist, if he governs like a moderate?
He’ll finish his speech on Inauguration Day and say, “that was the best speech since Abraham Lincoln, to a crowd of 1 million people!…”
We can all waste breath calling him a liar and waste energy tearing our hair out. Or we could try saying:
“Oh, that must have been way MORE than 1 million people, Mr President! … And your speech was much BETTER than Lincoln’s, Mr President! … Erm, could we have universal healthcare now…?”
They should give that a try…

Well they could always try representing working people. That might work as long as they don't ask Keir Starmer what it actually means
Only 3 things in life are certain. Death, Taxes and lesbians will never look how they do in porn movies.

I wouldn't count on it this time.
Goodfella's right. The media, and people in general, need to stop hyperventilating over the inconsequential stuff, and start playing the game.
That is very accurate
Most of us tend to only look to the inconsequential stuff, it's an outlet to avoid our own realities. Everyone is going thru something, we don't always know what that battle is.
Since we just hate the other side (and live in an age of making money off that) it's easy to live in an echo chamber.
I'm just worried about survival the next four years, cause the haze can wear off.
Being an isolationist can help with avoiding traps and needless arguments.
Still, I'm looking to "touch the grass" some more
