UFC 309 Jon Jones Vs Stipe Miocic

At the MSG New York tomorrrow night/early hours of Sunday morning Jon "Bones" Jone defends his HW title against Stipe Miocic. This has been billed as Jones' legacy fight, and posssibly his last. He wants to go out on a high. Many probably feel that he has held the UFC HW title hostage and should have been stripped of
the title long ago however much he has claimed to have been injured and all that.

It has the makings of being a classic and also an explosive fight one way or another but I expect Jones may have enough of a Ground and Pound game to wear Miocic out. On the other hand, Miococ could land just one big shot to put Jones to sleep, but I think also Miocic will want to frustrate Jones as much as he can, but I get the feeling Miocic wiil probably try to stay out of range and fight clever.

And their first defence whoever wins HAS to be against Interim champ Tom Aspinall who I feel has deserved at a shot at the title one way or another.

Thing is who wins?

Jones KO's Miocic in 3rd to retain HW title at MSG in New York.

Dana did say at the pre figh press conference, that the winner had to fight Tom Aspinall (the Interim HW Champion) And I get the feeling after what Jones said recently there is a lot of negotiating to be done for that fight.
I wouild still maintain that if Jone won't fight him, Dana should order him to vacate the belt or be stripped of it.

I would personally would love to see Aspinall take him on in Britain, and see how Jones copes withb training in winter over here.

It is a fight that is dividing MMA fans atm, but after how Jones dealt with Miocic, I'd like to see Aspinall fight someone who can take him a few rounds before fighting Jon. In fighting Jon, stamina could be key.

Tom probably could exploit a weakness in Jones, but Jones has the ability to work out fighters weaknesses very quickly.
