Eagles 26 - 18 Commanders
A close game for 3 quarters, the Commanders got in the End Zone near the end of the 1sr quarter, other than that it was field goals & punts, the Eagles managed to miss to field goals in the first half. Both defences played well, with the Eagles having the edge as the managed to contain the running game.
In the 4th quarter the Eagles where ignited by Barkley who broke 2 runs for touchdowns & almost had a 3rd when he was down at the one yard line & Hurts finished the job off with a regulation QB sneak.
That was the game, although Daniels drove the Commanders downfield using the hurry-up offence & he combined with Erdz twice for a TD & then a 2 point conversion to close the gap to 8 points before the onside kick was recovered by the Eagles & the game over.

The Failed 4th down doomed the Commanders
Eagles are sneaky good at the moment
Much like the Chiefs, they haven't shown their best, but are right in the mix for the top seed in the NFC
The Eagles may need to look for another kicker soon, Jake Elliott has struggled

Steelers 9 - 7 Ravens - Half time
Always a fierce rivalry, & this game has been no different. Not much in terms of offence from the Steelers, but they managed to force 2 fumbles which resulted in 2 field goals. The Ravens ever reliable kicker Justin Tucker missed 2 field goals.

Steelers 18 - 16 Ravens - Final
One for the purist, a real defensive battle, 5 field goals for the Sieelers proved to be enough to beat the usually high scoring Ravens.

Bills 30 - 21 Chiefs
The Chiefs unbeaten record is gone, but nothing has changed. In many ways trying to go unbeaten can be a distraction, the main goal is a threepeat Super Bowl. No one in their right mind would ever back against a team with Mahomes in the Playoffs.
The Bills have at least put a marker down as a team that can trade punches with the Chiefs. It took a super human effort from Josh Allen with a 26 yard td run to put the game beyond the Chiefs.
The Chiefs success has turned Mahomes into something of a hate figures in many peoples eyes, he doesn't really deserve half the stick he gets. He spoke well after the defeat, his abrasive personality no doubt plays a part in his will to win.
Josh Allen come across as more likeable by comparison, is he too nice to possess the required killer instinct that Mahomes seems to have in abundance.
The Bills still seem the most likely team to upset the Chiefs in the Playoffs, the have the best balance in the AFC in all facets.

Another all to familiar sight of the 49ers losing a game from a winning position, not able to execute when it most matters, more costly penalties. The Seahawks defence made life tough for Purdy whose gameplan had to alter with Kittle ruled out through injury. Bosa had another impactful game with 2 sacks & causing general chaos an practically every play. A brave effort for a man who has been carrying an injury which looks to got worse, & caused him to leave the field in obvious pain inn the 4th quarter. His pass rush skills were missed on the Seahawks game winning drive. Geno Smith still has some gas in the tank which he used to good effect twice on that drive including the 13 yard td run.

Niners are now bottom of the NFC West & with a concerning 1-3 Divisional record. They must make up some ground as they are currently out of the Playoff picture. Next up a visit to Green Bay.

Chargers 34 27 Bengals
A crazy game with the Charger jumping out to a 24 - 6 halftime lead & then trailing by 21 in the 3rd before Burrow mounted a comeback with 3 unanswered TD's. The Bengals defence stepped up, limiting the Charger to a field goal until the game winning 4th quarter TD run by Dobbins.
The Bengals missed 2 field goals late in the game which proved decisive.
A great game for the neutral, with 2 QB's at the peak of their powers. Still hard to believe that the Bengals are all but gone with Burrow having such a good season.

Goff bounced back with a vengeance after throwing 5 picks last week with 4 TD's for 412 yards & a perfect QB Rating. On the ground the one-two punch of Montgomery & Gibbs combined for 144 yards & 3 TD's. The Lions 52 - 6 Jags is the first case of such a score in NFL history.
This was always on the card with Lawrence out injured & Mac Jones stepping in.

Texans 34 10 Cowboys
When they turned the ball over off a fake punt it had a familiar feel & he hapless Cowboys were down by 14 at the end of the 1st quarter. Then Rush found Turpin who turned on the turbo & broke away for a 64 yard TD completion. Still down 17-10 at the half but you felt that they had at least competed & stayed in the game.
Trailing by 10 in the 3rd quarter Aubrey kicked a monster 64 yarder, but a defensive penalty on the play took the points off the board & allowed the drive to continue. The Cowboys sensed an opportunity to get in the end zone & rolled the dice on a 4th & 2. They came away with nothing & capitulated from that point. The Texans then scored 2 more td's at either end of the 4th quarter.
Having to come from behind required the Cowboys to lean more & more on the passing game, as the game wore on the Texans pass rush was relentless & Rush was sacked 5 times.
In contrast the Texans had a balanced offence, with Mixon having a strong game with 109 yards on 20 carries with 3 td's.
