Gatwick South Terminal has been evacuated and the train into Gatwick stopped.

Planes are still landing but nothing is taking off.

It appears that someone was stopped trying to get into the airport at 8:20am and explosive device was found.

Also an explosive device was deactived outside the US embassy this morning. I don't know if these incidents are connected.

The UK Embassy alert turned out to be a hoax. And the Gatwick shutdown is now declared to be resolved, whatever that means.
