HARDtalk
Stephen Sackur talks to film director Sir Steve McQueen about his new film Blitz, though his pronunciation is such I thought it was called Bullets at first.

Usually connected with Herbert Wilcox, together they discovered Michael Wilding. Despite her fame fading in the 1950s, she lived until the mid-80s, ensuring Eric Morecambe could amusingly mistake her for Arthur Negus.
TBF - Dennis Price
A consummate baddie, a stalwart of multiple films, but still best recalled for Kind Hearts and Coronets.

3.9 Oddly though viewers were told from the start what the commission would be, the winner wasn't told until the end of the previous show. Quite how the runners-up felt about this is not recorded.
The winning amateur, who turned out to be a school art teacher, like in S1, visited Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, and then got to spend a few days in Jamaica, visiting Noel Coward's old gaff, to paint the view there. The unveiling went OK though.

Glad there's another break before the next repeated series.
Landscape Artist of the Year 2018
4.1 Stephen Mangan replaces Frank Skinner, as the show returns, firstly at Fountains Abbey in North YORKSHIRE, with fine weather.

The Listening Post
A discussion on how bad things have got in Afghanistan leads to a chat with Lotfullah Najafizada, who was luckily already out of the country when the Taliban took over., so runs a media channel in exile.

The Day of the Jackal - Episode 1 - 7 (So far)

I totally agree with the comments Charlemagne made about this series (https://www.babeshows.co.uk/showthread.p...pid2911367)

I wasn't sure about this, before giving it a chance (I haven't read the book or seen the original film, so I'm a newbie at this story), it definitely has a great cat and mouse feel to it, the disguises and the way in which the series is shot is very good.

I wasn't sure about Eddie Redmayne being cast as The Jackal when I first found out, but he pulls it off quite stylishly and quite brutal to be frank. He's done a good job so far in keeping me wanting to watch more episodes and of course as Charlemagne also mentioned, the delightful Úrsula Corberó - she is pretty hot but is also very well acted in this series.

I would recommend this for anyone with nothing to watch atm, although 'Lioness' is still my favourite TV Series at present, this is a pretty close 2nd imo.

Very good acting alround and bring on episode 8!! Smile

Made In England - The Films of Powell and Pressburger
A passion project with Martin Scorsese talking through the subject, film by film. He managed to befriend Michael Powell in the late 1970s and made his later years pleasanter. Their best films still stand up.
