Both teams are now 9-6 needing one more win too secure a playoff berth, the Chargers needed the win more but trailed at halftime as the Broncos made the most of their opportunities Bo Nix threw 2 td passes & was helped by a complimentary ground game as Estime had earlier run in for the first score, but a late 2nd quarter field goal gave the Chargers momentum & they took control in the 2nd half with 3 td's of their own. The Chargers defence were able to limit the Broncos to just 2 field goals in the 2nd half as they struggled for first downs.
The class & experience of Herbert was the difference, with Nix still learning, but looks to have a bright future.

I've waited a long time to see a successful Fair Catch Kick
That was a key turning point of the game. The Chargers going to half down one possession was big
Their defense came alive after a rough first half (and a bad outing against the Bucs)

^^ I didn't realise that the last successful Fair Catch Kick was Ray Wersching, before my time, although I remember him still playing in the late 80's. I have some recollection of Mike Cofer attempting a 60 yarder in a Playoff game against the Vikings, the year the Niners won their 3rd Super Bowl against the Bengals in 89. Cofer was never long, I can't remember the circumstances that led to them even trying it. Anything over 50 yards was a big deal at that time now it's almost automatic. I find it crazy that there's been some 70+ yard attempts.
The Chargers had the perfect circumstances, with the interference call moving the attempt 15 yards closer. Strange that it has happened to the Chargers again after 48 years, different City (San Diego) same team. Dicker The Kicker will now go down in history for the longest successful Fair Catch Kick in the NFL. The 57 yards looks beatable but there's only been a handful of attempts in the last 20 years.

It's one of those plays I've seen attempted a few times, and you would think would be converted more often. It's just a Kickoff with a holder. Too many super long ones (Phil Dawson tried a 71 Yarder before), but with today's kickers distance isn't an issue.

As good as Herbert has been at not turning the ball over, it's hard to see either team being a viable threat to the AFC Elites in the Playoffs

Pulled away in the final quarter to win 34-17 in Baltimore.

That means 5 out of the 7 spots in the AFC are clinched
In the NFC the Packers and Commanders can clinch
Not a lot of wiggle room for the teams on the outside looking in
The Bengals might be the most dangerous of the teams looking to get in
Joe Burrow is playing at a really high level. He can also lay claim to beating the Chiefs in the playoffs.
Just him and Tom Brady have wins over Mahomes in the postseason
