The Story of Panto, with Gyles Brandreth.
He went to the Palladium, he went to Nottingham, he went to Catford. Oh yes, he did.

A pretty fair mash-up of old and new, some refreshing and different clips, but I understand why they wouldn't include the "meat torpedo" gem.

Thief at the British Museum
How a collector worked out that eBay listed a lot of rare items, that the seller was a curator at the British Museum, how it took 2 years and the intervention of George Osborne to get any action done (though little justice yet).

3/6 - Cosmopolitan China
The Tang Dynasty, a trip up Mount Hua, the wonders of an air jacuzzi.
4/6 - Made in China
Blue and white porcelain, the individual wonders of the terracotta army, and the intricacy in embroidering silk.
CGT
5/6 The Art of Technology
A complicated landscape painting style, later combined with VR 360` tech. Also, the Great Wall of China, and some drones.
6/6 The Art of Food
A 5 ton jade sculpture commemorating an early and effective Emperor. And he gets to share someone's family feast for a child's one month birthday, somewhat tying back to the first episode.

Overall, an intriguing series which covered most important Chinese bases.

He taught falconry to then-Prince Charles, and won a drinking contest with Ernest Hemingway. A superbly reliable character actor who had to deal with personal tragedy.
TBF - Yvonne Mitchell
A 9th episode, with another woman who didn't make it as big as others, and died early of cancer in her 50s.

Heart of the Matter: The Accidental Hero
Joan Bakewell looked at the story of Oskar Schindler, in 1997. It was moving that many of those he saved had survived all the intervening years to speak of him (even his widow outlived him by 20+ years). The riddle of course is that OS was a bad 'un before the war, and didn't cope well afterwards, but if he'd been a nice guy, he'd have saved nobody.

Bright Lights
2016 doc looking at Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher in what would turn out to be their twilight years. Carrie's brother Todd was an unsung hero, helping share the load of their workaholic mother but not in Star Wars and therefore not also being worked to death by doing more bloody SW films.
