Trump giving an absolute disaster of a press conference about the Plane / Helicopter collision in Washington DC last night. Hardly a word of sympathy for the families but plenty of finger pointing over alleged DEI policies at the FAA and suggesting that the Helicopter crew were at fault before the investigation has even started.

Pointing fingers at the Military isn't going to end well for him.

Another example of him just not caring about others, he'd rather score political points than show any sympathy for those that died, it's disgraceful, but exactly the thing that we should expect from him. He could say he doesn't care and too many people would still follow him, that's where America is at unfortunately.
I do wonder what it'll take for people to actually turn on him on masse, whether it's the public or military, what will it take for them to say enough is enough.

Considering how early we are into his second term, it doesn't bode well.

Hegseth suggesting that it was a Continuity of Government Taining flight and the crew had Night Vision Goggles could be a big clue. If they were flying wearing NVGs over a fully lit city at night it would be very easy for them to be literally blinded by the lights.

I'm totally unsurprised at Trump playing politics with tragedy. He always seems to find a way of blaming the Democrats or/and people doing their jobs as regards literally any event or situation. But he will get away with it in the eyes of those who voted for him unfortunately.
He could probably do or say even worse things in our eyes but still get away with it in the eyes of his supporters. It's a sign to me of just how delusional and wrong headed some of the American culture has got. It's utterly depressing.

The Federal Aviation Authority is currently without a permanent head as the previous incumbent resigned on Jan 20th. Elon Musk had called for his need to resign after the FAA had previously fined SpaceX for breaches in its government license & violations of safety protocol.

Trump has named an acting head but according to Reuters the FAA has refused to say who is running the agency.

Going "woke" would piss off his base, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. At some point, he won't have a fall guy to blame. No Biden, No Fauci, No Hillary to point the finger at on the Left. He has the deck stacked in his favor with many spineless fall guys, at some point it should become apparent what has HE done for US.

Economic woes/Pandemic/Insurrection did hurt him at the end of the first term. Time (or poor memories) eased those wounds. People over here enjoy the shit show too much to be upset, but that will have to change, at least I hope it changes
