RE: What TV show did you last watch?
Dexter: Original Sin - Ep 1-4
This is actually better than I thought it was going to be after the slightly disappointing 'Dexter: New Blood'.
It begins with a younger version of Dexter and his sister (who was played absolutely brilliantly by Jennifer Carpenter in the original Dexter seasons and in New Blood). The cast are great - Christian Slater does a great job at being a cop and trying to manage Dexter, Molly Elizabeth Brown does a cracking job at replicating Jennifer Carpenters rendition of Dexters sister, she has the mannerisms and personality pretty much spot on imo ![Smile Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif) .
I've watched the first four episodes and I've been pleasantly surprised and it's also great to have Micheal C. Hall narrating throughout.....possibly proof that he's still alive after the ending in New Blood.
Overall very enjoyable and it almost feels like the great series of the original Dexter series but this is mainly down to the cast.

Another special, this time from Latvia, and devoted to the Ukraine situation, culminating with a long rehash of John's previous coverage of Moscow events, going back to 1979.
UW w/JS
Another kind-of special, with John looking at the early impact of Trump II, including another historical round-up ending, and the delusion that because other 2nd term Presidents have died on their arse, then Trump will probably get boshed in the midterms. As if the world will be OK until then...

From the "thin man up a thick cliff" file, Alex Honnold climbs the fearsome El Capitan, having havered about it, had a couple of falls he tactfully blames on his girlfriend, and discussed his emotional problems. He starts one attempt in the dark and wisely packs it in quickly, but his actual nerve-wracking attempt has better light.
The Alpinist
Marc-Andre Leclerc was another fan of free climbing, and made Honnold and others look pedestrian. He wound up the camera crew a bit because he wasn't all that into the need for them to be along. He took 2 attempts to crack the fearsome Torre Egger, at which point the camera crew assumed that was it. However, he went to Canada for another summit, with a friend, and though they made it up, they didn't make it back down.
