A similar format to a series last year with Jackie Kay and others looking back over their career, though Alan both resists the premise and plays along with it. At least they task him on a few of his lesser remembered shows for once. WW1 turns out to be a semi-regular theme.

6.1 Back at last, from Chartwell House in Kent, but with only 6 contestants instead of 8. You might have thought the open air aspect was covid-friendly, but I guess it was early days. At least the sun shines.

Africa's New Directions: Offensive Agricole
How Burkina Faso's leader, Traore, is trying to remedy a balance of payments issue by investing in tractors to encourage more crop growing, so the locals can feed themselves without needing mass imports of grub. He presumably rejected the premise of bullying other countries to pay his debts for him because that would be the actions of an economic fool.

Last Week Tonight w/John Oliver
As well as dissecting DOGE's dimwit destruction, his main story is on Facebook's changes of content moderation, though even in multiple attempts to compare Zuckerberg to something insulting (a joke Seth Meyers also overuses in the pretence of comedy), he never tries comparing him to an old school Chris Martin.

From 2023, shown before the last US election, a convoluted 6 hour exercise depicting an attempted "Jan 6" type insurrection from a made-up pressure group called the Order of Columbus. As the minutes tick down, the President has to decide whether to use the Insurrection Act, or not. He chooses not. Which is the right answer.
