The Culture Show - Terence Conran talks to Alan Yentob
Revised (i.e. short) repeat from 2011, with TC emphasising the importance of making things.

Last Week Tonight w/John Oliver
Trump sending folk to El Salvador, and a long bit on Axon and their Tasers, which clearly are more deadly than Axon would like people to think.

7.6 For unknown reasons, they didn't have a 2nd heat at Whitstable, so it's Semi-final time at the Forth Bridge. They stuck to picking 1 wild card as well, so it was 6 down to 3, and the 4:2 ratio of women to men was matched with a 2:1 ratio for the finalists.
LAotY 2022
7.7 I think I've worked out the reason for the missing heat - given they did a celebrity special in Whitstable the same year.
Anyway, the final is in the spooky gardens at Levens Hall, and there were environmental-themed commissions to boot. I'd have picked a different winner, but there it is.

Ambassadors in Berlin - The Whistleblowers of WW2 : Berlin 1933-9
The grim real-life messages from British, American, French and Italian ambassadors, as a series of signposts points the way to big trouble, to no useful response from the folks back home.

Talking Pictures - Jack Lemmon
He spoke to Parky, Wogan, Aspel, Mark Cousins, and even Sue Cook (on Nationwide).

7.8 The winner actually came from the opening show, and her submission was probably the most exciting painting she did all series. Notably, the commission was kept vague through the series, and led the young lady to take a ride on the restored Rochdale canal, so SA could get in belatedly on the canal bandwagon. This series' painter to mention was Adolphe Vallette, whose style was eerily similar to the winner, unlike his most famous pupil, LS Lowry. Anyway, after many vignettes about social history, the finished painting was well received, and did include her "signature" use of fire, a good trick in a picture about a canal.

The Daily Show w/Jon Stewart
After dissecting Signalgate and Third Term talk, he talked to Oren Cass, who seemed largely positive about Trumpism being good.

Real Time w/Bill Maher
He talked to "Governor Gavin" and again brought up why he needs 2 inspections to approve his new roof (I hope someone tells him one week, if I can work it out it must be blindingly obvious).

The Bottom Line
Steve Clemons was joined in studio by Alex Wagner and Kevin Baron to discuss the Signalgate situation, then talked to Michael R. Strain in DC about the prospects for Trump's Tariffs.

Devil May Cry Ep 1 "Inferno" Season 1

Great to see them pay tribute to the late Kevin Conroy who voiced one of characters.

7.9 A "best bits" compilation, which seems a bit superfluous, though maybe it shows how the winner progressed when other artists were better (arguably).
