How an Altrincham-based geography teacher got up to no good, and then became regionally/nationally famous as a pratfalling weatherman, and then found his victims had long memories after all. His "no comment" policy in interviews was so gormless you wonder why his lawyer either suggested it or went along with it.
Boris Johnson - A Faking It Special
To be honest, once you've seen a few of this series, you can probably guess how they'll go. His covid inquiry, despatch box and select committee turns were riddled with little psychological clues that confirmed that he made Donald Trump look like an exemplar of the truth.

33/40 Amy Dury talks on using a Monochrome Palette, which charmingly turned out to be brown, rather than black, which led to different results, especially when she mixed other colours into the brown, like white and red, to arguably defeat the object.
34/40 Curtis Holder and his model pal Jarvis return to discuss Drawing With Coloured Pencils, which is his act anyway, and he eventually adds a 2nd colour to show the plural. Perhaps notably, the picture is of the model nodding off.
AotY - M
35/40 My other non-fave, Brogan Bertie, returns to talk on Painting Hands, which seems ironic to me as their style is in the Maggi Hambling mode, if I were being generous.
36/40 Lorna May Wadsworth talks on Painting With Gold Leaf, which seems an awful faff, and suited to people who want their subjects to look like literal icons.

A Final Landing on Iwo Jima
Families of veterans, and one surviving 100-y-o veteran, make a trip to the island near Japan which the US wanted "for strategic purposes", and which in the Spring of 1945, had a heckuva rough time in getting. Other veterans told their tale, of the whole battle, and their ire that the US later gave the island back to Japan. That the famous flag-raising happened with the battle far from over seems a timely metaphor.

This Cultural Life
John Wilson talks to Salman Rushdie about his life and times. The author talks about how his fiction uses thinly-disguised elements from his background, and then suggests his memoir and recent book about his stabbing represent some sort of change, as they're overtly about himself. He defends the boring-sounding Satanic Verses on the grounds that the dodgy bits only amount to about 10% of it. Hmm...

37/40 Tom Croft returns to talk on Pushing Colour In Portraiture, which is about taking risks with use of colours. At least he talks like he's actually giving a lecture, and aware that it's a situation which calls for some humour.
38/40 Similarly, Stuart Jarvis talks on Creating Textures In Charcoal Landscapes, and makes it feel that he's not doing anything that couldn't be done by a viewer. By covering the whole canvas in charcoal, he can use a number of rubbers to add white to his picture, as well as using charcoal for the dark areas.

Global Public Square
In another example of the circle jerk of these shows, Oren Cass is brought on to be a pro-MAGA economist (FZ very scathing about the tariff antics), whilst Vali Nasr talks the prospects of a new deal between USA and Iran.
