A decent morning shift from Zhao Xintong. Brilliant potting that's great to watch, fantastic positional shots. His only real mistake was that red he attempted and missed in frame 9 and allowed Jak to put a 2nd frame on the board. But at 7-2 I still expect Zhao to get through quite comfortably tomorrow morning.

The crucible curse was rife in that deciding frame between Kyren and Lei Peifan last night.
Crucible curse 1: Kyren makes a miscue while trying a safety shot, and Lei Peifan gets in and makes 9.
Crucible curse 2: Kyren made 14 and took the lead, but got the cue ball stuck behind a red when splitting the pack off the blue.
Crucible curse 3: Kyren gets a dreaded double kiss while playing a safety shot and lets Lei in again.
Crucible curse 4: Lei makes 30 and looks like he's missed the red, but instead of staying over the pocket, the red wobbles along the jaw and drops in. Lei extends the break to 66 and wins the match.

Barry Hawkins never trailed Hossein Vafaei all the way through until the very end and promptly lost in a deciding frame.
Neil Robertson also gone after a 10-8 loss to Chris Wakelin.
Another two seeds bite the dust. Jak Jones likely to fall tomorrow as well.

The seeds are tumbling yet again.

It's carnage at The Crucible.

Thoroughly enjoyed my snooker last night. Happily Vafaei managed to beat Hawkins in a thriller! Robertson reversed a first session 7-2 deficit and won 5 frames in a row to level at 8-8, but Wakelin still managed to get the 2 frames he needed to get over the line.

The Chinese players are on fire. They could end up as the last 8

wanted to watch last nights matches and was no eurosport on sky

It's on TNT Sport instead as well as BBC.

Eurosport was merged with TNT Sports at the end of February in a moneygrab. But you can always watch the snooker on BBC iplayer if the BBC decide to prioritise other news on BBC2 rather than show the snooker.

I was getting a bit worried when Jak Jones won the first 2 frames of this morning's session, but Zhao's managed to turn it around and at the interval he leads 9-4, requiring just one more frame for victory.

Edit: And with a fantastic 87 break in the 14th frame, Zhao gets the job done 10-4.
