This ends the 2025 HOF awards


Now that the 11th Annual Hall of Fame awards have finished, I would like to show my appreciation to Lovebabe56 for the work he has put in.
He’s had a very enthusiastic approach with these awards, he’s always been consistent as to how the they have been run and he’s always been very friendly in our work together. Last year I made the choice to pull back from any involvement, but it was decided that I would help out with the nominations stage, and then leave Lovebabe56 to complete the knockout stages.

He has been a fan of the knockout format of an award, as he likes the gladiatorial head to heads. But it occasionally proved difficult to run. This year the format threw a curve ball when Lolly Badcock scraped into the knockout stage with just 3 nominations, only to win the night awards with over 60% of the vote.

In it's format it has proved difficult to run and together with his health issues it was correct for him, to join me, and to step aside and make way for a new approach to the awards.
So Lovebabes needs a big thanks for all his work over the past years.

Congratulations to Lolly Badcock & Kelly Bell for their 2025 HOF induction, both great choices.

Thanks to lovebabes56 & Charle for your endeavours & importantly to those who made the effort to nominate & vote.

Fantastic result tonight, like the best early Xmas present I could've wished for.

It was noticeable in the day babe award that nearly all Kelly's votes came from members who were on the forum on or before 2013. Probably they are the only ones who can remember her both on the shows and active on the forum.

To my surprise I've had to create an A-Z post for Lolly Badcock.
Both girls have now been added to the Roll of Honour list.

I noticed that too.

I was tempted to make a chart, but then I put on Die Hard and the temptation passed. I’m pretty sure it would show a direct correlation between length of time on the forum and propensity to vote for Kelly Bell over Emma C — which adds a lot of weight to the frequently cited concern about “recency bias”.

But more important… thanks to Charle and Lovebabes for taking on such a thankless task. Much appreciated.

Thankyou to Lovebabes & Charles. In what has been a difficult year I’m very pleased that the result has produced two very fine inductees. I hope that whoever runs the HoF next year can take the lessons from this year and run a simple and worthy induction process that honours the esteem in which we hold the HoF.
