Shows how many great female players there are; well done indeed, she's seemed a Grand Slam winner for a while.

Also well done to Alfie Hewett, who won the Men's Wheelchair Singles. He and Gordon Reid won the Men's Wheelchair Doubles yesterday. AND Andy Lapthorne & friend won the Men's Quad Wheelchair Doubles yesterday too.

Henry Patten and his Finnish partner Harri Heliovaara won the Mens Doubles after beating Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori in a marathon encounter 6-7 (16-18) 7-6 (7-5) 6-3.

Jannik Sinner has successfully defended his Australian Open title with a 6-3 7-6 (7-4) 6-3 victory over a frustrated Alexander Zverev.

Emma Raducanu returned to winning ways (briefly) at the Hobart International, for which she was top seeded (!)

She's also seeded for the Aussie Open, somehow.

Emma did win her 1st round match, but faces Potapova next, with Sabalenka likely to follow.

Terrific win for Cameron Norrie. Won a five setter against France's Benjamin Bonzi after being 2-1 down. This is the first time he's been seeded at a slam (he's 28th) since the 2024 French Open.

Edit: Another British player, 23 year old Arthur Fery beat Italian 20th seed Flavio Cobolli in straight sets.

Fearnley and Kartal didn't last long

Fery and Raducanu also bit the dust now.

Cameron Norrie the last Brit left in singles (still a few in Doubles, though).

Not now he ain't

Cash & Glasspool were shock exits in the Men's Doubles too.
