i am surprised that there was no on-air apology for the Tiffany outburst...or maybe she was saved by the bell?

PhonePay rules say you can't advertise premium rate phone services with sexually explicit content, and channels have been fined mega£ for doing that. Shows used to have babes using very graphic language until about 2006 or 2007 when - guess who - Ofcom - started using the PhonePay rules (formely known as ICTIS).
Yeah, I remember there being several issues with ICSTIS in the racing industry...
Here is a quote about them:
"PhonepayPlus (formerly known as ICSTIS) regulates services using a Code of Practice, approved by OFCOM. This sets out the rules with which all providers of phone-paid services must comply. Among other things, it requires clear and accurate pricing information, honest advertising and service content, and appropriate and targeted promotions.
PhonepayPlus investigates complaints about phone-paid services. Where it decides that its rules have been broken, it can fine the company responsible, bar access to its services, and even bar the individual behind the company from running other services under a different company name. Investigations and adjudications are free to consumers and fully independent."
As far as calling/listening to onscreen girls and getting pics/videos, there shouldn't be too many issues/problems with these services. However, I have criticised some channels in the past who offer other services that will just bring extra heat on them from the regulators/authorities. It's pretty obvious what they are, and it doesn't take much to get a bad reputation with people like this... Once there are a few dodgy cases in an industry, they tend to tar most in it with the same brush. Guilty until proven innocent, so to speak...
I'm here to help - if my help's not appreciated then lotsa luck, gentlemen.

The babe channels content is regarded as advertising for their phone lines, rather than programmes, and Ofcom doesn't approve of crass language in advertising.
Watch 902's freeview for just another example of Ofcom's fucked up logic. Cock, cunt*, arse, pussy... they're all in the freeviews, loud and clear for all to hear. Okay, so 902 aren't a phone-in show, but they're still advertising an adult channel. What's the pissin' difference when all's said and done?
* I didn't say muffin! What I did say starts with a C, ends in T, and has U and N in between.
