Dominant, really? I thought Liverpool and Chelsea had been knocked out of the Champions League.

The nearest you can get to an objective assessment of this question is a computer analysis carried out on behalf of The Times newspaper at the beginning of this season which came to the conclusion that the Spanish League was the strongest in the world with the English League a close second. In fact the English League was reckoned to be 94% as strong as the Spanish League, so very little difference.

How many english teams are left in the champions league? How many spanish?

Did you read Mr G's post? Anyway...my point is, real won't win loads of trophies with, 'galacticos'. They didn't last time they tried it and they won't this time. They had to sell their training ground to fund it last time. Players like Beckham etc went to Real instead of other teams and sacrificed medals and trophies just to wear a Real shirt and I think its a waste. They are in trouble again because they have not sold enough shirts. Ronaldo, Ribery, Benzema etc can't all be on the ball at the same time. I'm not saying La liga is shit because its not but I would rather watch a game in England than yet another dominant barca 4-0 win.

I would rather be a Ryan Giggs than a Beckham.

i aint rude, i just dont fucking like you

Here are Ray Parlour and Guillem Balague having the same argument (without coming to very much agreement).

Number of times that Barcelona have won by 4 goals in La Liga this season: 4 (Seville, Racing Santander, Real Zaragoza, Tenerife)

Number of times that Man Utd have won by 4 goals in the Premier League: 4 (Hull City, Wigan Athletic, Portsmouth, West Ham Utd)

No difference.

Is the EPL the most widely watched and supported league in the world? Yes, and that's fact. your argument is rubbish anyway, Barca have lost once all season only let in 18 goals and scored 70! Man utd have lost 6. and let in 25 goals and scored 72, so even when they have lost, they have scored goals. They lost 3-0 to Fulham for christs sake. Barca havn't lost 3-0 to anyone. So therefore by stats alone the EPL is more interesting and exciting.

So in your opinion you would rather watch spanish football. I'm patriotic and I'll argue that our league is the best in the world to my grave but there are quite a few million fans world wide who agree with me. We have the most widely supported club in the world (man u) and league.

So now let's get back on the thread topic and ask what is the fascination with joining the 2nd best team in spain over every other team in the world. My ideal job would be to play professionally. I would never join Real because I would want to be known as a successful footballer and not a 'galactico'.

Correction to the above:

Chelsea 6 (Bolton, Blackburn, Portsmouth, Wolves, Sunderland, Aston Villa).

listen to the football ramble, they are always talking about this. Enlgish fans are biased but la liga is a very good league also. Depends what you want. Quality of football la liga and premier league are best. But for competitiveness the french and german leagues are the best. Barca and Madrid are way ahead of everyone else and unitl this year there was the big 4 in England. It's good that the title race is so close with 3 teams this year and the fight for 4th but there's still alot of also rans that are rubbish

and that has nothing to do with the competitiiveness of the leauge
from a football point of veiw.
Spannish football is alot nicer to watch, english football is boring with one team deciding they dont want to play and just siting back and put up a brick wall.

Just beacause its the most followed leauge means nothing.
You cannot argue that spnnish football is not alot nicer to watch.
