Iron Man 2 (reviews)

saw iron man 2 today and really enjoyed it.

it starts from where iron man finished with tony stark revealing he is iron man. in iron man 2 he is under attack from several fronts. The US Governent want the iron man technology, mickey rourke's character whiplash is after him as well, wont say why as it will spoil it for those who havent seen it yet and tony stark is also battlng another problem which i wont say for the same reason as whiplash.

in the film there is a reference to the captain america film and another one for The Avengers film. Also dont leave the cinema when the credits start as there is a reference to the Thor film

robert downey jr is again brill as tony stark, gwyneth paltrow is good as pepper potts

as for the new characters. mickey rourke is excellent as whiplash, don cheadle is good as war machine and scarlett johansson is good as agent romanov/black widow and wouldnt want to get on the wrong side of her

id give it 8/10 as good if not better than the first one

jon favereau's Happy Hogan is awesome Samuel L Jackson gets the best lines!! all the shield stuff is really well integrated, as was worried that it would feel tacked on.

that's the 2nd time the Cap's shield has appeared in the Iron Man films, as it was in Tony's workshop in the first film. am presuming they're going down the route that Howard Stark helped make the Cap's shield back in WW2.

plus RDJ showing how you go to the toilet whilst wearing the suit.... priceless!! and kickass fight to another one bites the dust.

i find it funny that some people have said they're not happy that there's more of tony stark in the film rather than iron man, but i bet if it was the other way round they'd then complain there was too much iron man and not enough tony stark...

oh and RDJ was talking about there being an Iron Man 3 after the avengers movie, that he and Jon Favareau are up for it and bouncing ideas about, possibly even doing the Demon in a bottle storyline, which they kind of touch on in this one in a sense...

Let's hope this one is actually good.

The first one was way overrated.

Really liked the first one and I watched Iron Man 2 yesterday which I also enjoyed. Downey Jr, Rourke and Rockwell were my favourites. Didn't miss Howard, prefering Cheadle. Nice to get a big movie before the USA for once.

For those who have watched the film, i've heard that there are swear words that have been 'bleeped out'. If so, does it ruin the enjoyment of the film?

yes there are swear words bleeped out but didnt ruin the film at all

Am looking forward to this.I think its the most accurate to the comics of all these recent super heroes genre.

the swear words bleeped out aren't bleeped out by the film, basically in the scene they're watching a news channel and on the news channel Sterns was swearing about Tony Stark and its bleeped on the news channel. people are basically hearing chinese whispers about the swearing and jumping to daft conclusions!
