another classic monster returns, great to see the Silurians back

It made me jump, the first glimpse of the Silurian, when she crossed quickly like a shadow in front of the camera, stalking the little boy...creepy. I liked the Doctor's 'unmasking' of her and the little chat they had, and also the revelation that her species had been living on/in earth before humans, and had only stirred because the drill had threatened them; not necessarily invading out of spite at all. Steven Moffat seems to be really good at that - cleverly revealing bits and pieces in a way that I can't predict. I'm wondering why they are cutting into people underground, though. So suspensful.
Excellent episode. I'm really liking these two-parters so far.

I agree she makes me laugh just with the looks she give Rory and the Dr. I did love those shorts though but surely in Rio a thong is more suitable

i'm just miffed they removed about 15 mins worth of footage just so it can fit an america tv's hour so they can sell it abroad! grr.

another good episode last night especially with the twists at the end. SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!

did they? what was in the 15 minutes missing footage?

see last weeks confidential, there's some of it in there and they say they removed 15 mins worth. including a walk and talk about rory, which looked like some good character stuff. anything contributing to overall development was cut and just kept stuff that was for that story. just annoying as it seemed interesting

yeah that is a shame. Don't know why they did that, suppose they had a time limit to fill, but that sounded intresting and could have developed the series theme more

exactly! sounds like most stories are written to an hour then due to wanting americans to buy it, they cut it down to 45 minutes. damn them!
