i just saw the camilla, ree? set in the dugeon (thanx to a m8 recording it) and boy what a disappointment. the girls sorta got it on and looked hot doing it, but you could see certain angles that they were thoroughly faking it.
a shot of ree supposedly fingering camilla, was in fact rubbing her inner thigh....
just goes to show that even when the most popular girls are being used to sell the channel cellcast still find a way of mugging the punters.
nice try but there not doing themselves or the girls any favors.
Yes, it was a 4C production : Carefully Choreographed Creative Camerawork
There are two factors to consider though.
Firstly there are the broadcasting regulations which limit what can be shown. With old stuff from the archives, it may be possible to say 'sorry, we thought that was OK' and just get a slapped wrist, but with new material specially shot for the channel, there is no real hiding place if it breaks the rules.
Secondly, there are the girls themselves. That was Camilla's first non solo shoot, so she may have set a limit on how far she was willing to go. That seems the case with others as well. The Jada/Karina live show was similar faked stuff, whereas the Dani/Lolly show was full-on, albeit with similar camerawork, so you only get brief glimpses of the action before panning round to an angle where it is obscured.
That said, the marketing of the finished product is clearly down to cellcast, and they are doing a good job of making these shoots sound better than they really are. Seems to be the one thing are really good at!
The live shows were a good example. So they were live, big deal. There was no interaction, no ability to phone in, or text or email and direct the action like a webcam type show, so they may as well have been pre-recorded. Nevertheless, I'm sure some punters bought a nights viewing just for the live show, I wonder how many were disappointed
On the subject of marketing, Ella has been promoted as a 20 year old lately, both on screen, and she herself has said it on the mic several times, and tonight, Rochelle was similarly promoted as a 20 year old. I can't speak for Rochelle, but there is certainly much discussion on the subject regarding Ella, who seems to have been 20 for some time now. More marketing creativity at work perhaps?
I guess the bottom line is that this a product like any other, and is going to be sold like any other product, with a certain amount of creativity, keep your eyes open and your brain engaged and you won't be fooled or disappointed.
Personally, I think 5 bucks a night is way over the top for the sort of content currently on Extreme. Until and unless they start getting harder content featuring the regular girls, I'll save my money. But how likely is it that we get that content? Shooting new material is time consuming and expensive, I wouldn't be surprised if the live shows were thought up to save money, the cameras and sets are already there, just need a couple of girls, darn sight cheaper than something like the heavily produced and edited Ree/Camilla shoot. Really, they should have shot some fresh content from the off, so first night there was some new and exclusive material to pull people in. Instead, they are playing catch-up, trying to sell the channel on mostly old material, while making the fresh content that we want, meaning they then have to oversell the new stuff, hyping it up as something far more than it really is to recover the lost ground and draw back the disgruntled viewers. The when people see the new content isn't quite what it was hyped up to be they get disgruntled again.
Classic bad management, no doubt some guy in a big chair behind a big desk saying 'let's do this' without really thinking it through or planning it.
