Who's Your Teams Best 11 From Your Era?
ive suddenly decided to come down with insomnia so since im unable to sleep im just creating threads, this is my latest,
simples really as the title suggests but dont go posting players that you have never seen play, for example as a united fan you'd expect me to post charlton, law, best, edwards etc, only post players from your generation k. mine is as follows
GK - Peter Schmeichel
LB - patrice evra
CB - jaap stam
CB - nemanja vidic
RB - gary neville ( laugh all you like )
LW - ryan giggs
CM - roy keane
CM - paul scholes
RW - christiano ronaldo
ST - eric cantona
ST - wayne rooney
FUCK it use who you like, from whatever decade you like. im not old enough to talk about our past greats so im not going to. thats why most of my best 11 are still playing today

RE: your teams best ever 11
My Albion XI...from players I have seen:
GK: Russell Hoult
RB: Igor Balis
CB: Thomas Gaardsoe
CB: Neil Clement
LB: Paul Robinson
RM: Zoltan Gera
CM: Jonathan Greening
CM: Enzo Maresca
LM: Chris Brunt
ST: Bob Taylor
ST: Nwankwo Kanu
I could do subs as well: Tomasz Kuszczak, Darren Moore, Jason Koumas, Graham Dorrans, Ronnie Wallwork, Geoff Horsfield, Lee Hughes
Hell, I could round out a squad.
Worst XI would be even easier

RE: Who's Your Teams Best Ever 11?
How could I possibly put Duncan Edwards or the Holy Trinity into my best ever XI, when I never got to see them play, except on old highlight reels? It would be dishonest of me to put a player into my best XI when I only have other people's opinion on which to base my choice. I'm not picking the best XI I've ever seen, then. I'm picking the best XI by popular opinion, which is a pointless exercise. I just read the history of the club, then regurgitate the opinions of other people. Instead, I'm picking an XI based on the players I've seen in my own lifetime. My dad can say authoritatively that Law was better than Van Nistelrooy, since he's watched both of them play. Without having watched both of them myself, I can't make that assertion with any kind of honesty.
Being a football fan is all about opinions, and the thing about opinions is that they're subjective. It's possible (if unlikely) that if I'd seen them both at their peak, then I'd rate Van Nistelrooy as the better striker of the two, and while that possibility remains then I can only pick my XI based on my own experience. If you're willing to design, finance and build a time machine, though, I'll gladly go back and watch them all at their peak.
