RE: Liverpool FC
first off i love giggs and i av the upmost respect for him i had is name on all of my shirts as a kid. what i meant was that he's a winger and you can get wingers anywhere these days granted they will never be as good giggsy. scholesy is gonna be the most difficult to replace, like i said cesc is the only type of player who is as good as scholes in the premier league and the others all play for barcelona and madrid i.e iniesta xavi etc even alonso thats why your in decline you miss that type of player massively. yeah your right torres looks the same playing for spain as he does now but the big diffence there is spain can carry an off color torres liverpool cannot simple. rooney is quality but he's not that crucial is he ? take sunday for example he wasnt playing and we still won.......................before you correct me.................. i know, i was taking the piss
gotta go now but ill be back on later if you wanna carry on this fun debate lol ; )

RE: Liverpool FC
Liverpool Football Club tonight issued the following press statement:
The Board of Directors have received two excellent financial offers to buy the Club that would repay all its long-term debt. A Board meeting was called today to review these bids and approve a sale. Shortly prior to the meeting, the owners - Tom Hicks and George Gillett - sought to remove Managing Director Christian Purslow and Commercial Director Ian Ayre from the Board, seeking to replace them with Mack Hicks and Lori Kay McCutheon.
This matter is now subject to legal review and a further announcement will be made in due course.
Meanwhile Martin Broughton, Christian Purslow and Ian Ayre continue to explore every possible route to achieving a sale of the Club at the earliest opportunity.
What are Hicks an Gillett up to now apart from making us look an even bigger joke. Am guessing they tried to get the three removed as they would have approved the sale were as Hicks an Gilliett wont as it wont leave them with any profit
Bazinga!

RE: Liverpool FC
Under NO circumstances should Liverpool be sold to any more Yank fools, football isn't run the same as American sports, no draft periods & definitely no franchises, look at Villa... Yank investors should be band from this comical fit and proper person test as none of them can afford to put money into a club consistently over a 3 year period as well as build a stadium should the team need it, like we do.
Mack Hicks and Lori Kay McCutheon.. Who are these comedy characters, they sound like.. Bill & Ben, Laurel & Hardy, Chuckle Brothers, Hale & Pace,
Cannon & Ball.... Just do one!!!

Give the Lad a chance. All the yanks aint mugs! This guy won't run his mouth and make promise after promise and do nothing.
Let his actions do the talking.Come in and get shot of the debt thats weighing us down.Get the stadium ball rolling.Provide funds for new players.
I was unsure this morning coz of the USA link but lets get behind the new owners and move on.
