RE: Liverpool FC
I think tonight will go one of two ways with the squad thats there, we'll either get smashed or a team who will have to work for each other in the absence of Gerrard, Torres & Kuyt will pull together just like the Biscanbull performance of 2005 when we played Deportivo la Coruna away without Xabi Alonso, Steven Gerrard & Djibril Cisse yet won 0-1 with a spirited team performance, none more so than Igor Biscan. This could be the game when Joe Cole puts in his staring performance to lead the team to victory, but to do that he'll need to be playing in the centre or just off Jovanovic, who i think should play as the lone striker due to his experience.
I think we should go with:
.....................Pepe
Kelly...Carragher...Kyrgiakos...Konchesky
....Maxi...Spearing...Poulsen...Babel
.......................Cole
....................Jovanovic
This is a pretty good team with the pace of Babel & his ability to cut inside & shoot & Maxi doing similar on the right & Spearing moving forward when we're on the ball, with Cole as the central playmaker & Jovanovic in a more natural position we should be in with a chance of a good result.
Having said all that The Roy Hodgson's tactics of 2 defensive midfielders who don't move or pass forward will ensure Maxi & Babel are ineffective & Cole has too much work to do in going to look for the ball & then trying to create for himself up top because Jovanovic has given up seen as he hasn't seen the ball for 27min & is man marked by 2 centre backs.
To be honest i can see us gettin out played (2-0) due to Hodgson's tactics & the fact Napoli are 4th in Serie A with only 1 loss from 7 games albeit a
W1 D1 L1 F5 A5 home record. But Marek Hamsik & Cavani are both on goal scoring form, & they'll be backed by a partisan crowd of 60,000.
It's no surprise there's been trouble & stabbings, after all it is Naples, not to mention the Italians will feel the need to restore some pride after beeing made to look like toy soldiers by the fearsome Serb paramilitaries... Sorry i ment football fans!!!

Non-allegiance type post here, mitchell.
Shelvey looks good. Spearing not so much despite bigging up from ITV. Ngog and Babel busted flushes. Not Liverpool class whatever that means.
0 - 0 away to Napoli is seen as progress. Seriously, for fuck's sake.
Andy Townsend's shiny shirt is in no way representative of a mid life crises. Buy a a fuckin' Harley and get over it, you tosser.
Addendum for mitchell only.
