I have just counted the number of Freeview channels which are transmitting actual programs at 10.15pm tonight by scanning through them.
There are 36 different ones on at present.
This figure does not include any of the topuptv or sky sports subscription channels, or radio or teletext channels.

really as many as that? crikey still proportional representation would probably mean that the number of stations we have is possibly about right possibly 1 too many, for otherwise it could alienate the tv audience. Certainly not really room for any more. (remember not everyone who has freeview is a horny young man after a wank) Anyway that time of the morning I understand that a high amount of the available time is used by Top Up TV (does anyone still use this) as they download programmes onto the boxes, I would be interested in how many are operational at say 1am (....althought i wont loose any sleep counting).

Good PQ and the OSG look smaller then bs a good new channel for freeview

I have to agree mate, the osgs on this channel are a massive improvement to bs. Very impressive stuff so far.
