RE: RIP Bang Babes
Prior to 1 September 2010, the material broadcast by the Licensees was subject to the Broadcasting Code, which includes the following specific provisions: . Licensees must therefore comply with the relevant Standards Code which applies to the material broadcast.

• Rule 1.17: “Material equivalent to the British Board of Film Classification ("BBFC") R18 rating must not be broadcast at any time.”

Of the 48 breaches of the Broadcasting Code:
• 1 related to material found to be in breach of Rule 1.17/7

What in the world was that?

RE: RIP Bang Babes
Disappointing that Bang would come out and say on this forum that it was a technical fault and the channels would be back as soon as it was fixed. Did they think we wouldn't notice when they never returned?

This is a massive blow as Bang Babes has always been my favourite set of channels. The Pad is by far the best daytime show, hands down, and their nightshows were the strongest as well. They've got the best roster and their sets are clear and bright, the production values are good and their babes always look amazing. Restricted to one, sometimes two, channels as they are now is a massive blow and will no doubt mean some of their babes going elsewhere.

Don't they have the right to appeal?

Interesting to read that:-

...The financial penalty of £157,250 which was imposed on the Licensees on 29 July 2010 was immediately followed by three further breaches of the Broadcasting Code and a further nine similar breaches of the BCAP Code have been recorded since the issue of the notice of intention to revoke on 2 November 2010...

Says something about the earning potential of these channels when fines of this size don't deter them.

From my (layman's) reading of the OFCOM ruling - I think it's gone beyond that.

I'd say that was possibly more desperation than anything.

You may well be right.

Fascinating document, really. Particularly as BM continued to broadcast for a period - seemingly in defiance of OFCOM. In the end, it seems, juggling roles in the boardroom didn't convince them.
