RE: RIP Bang Babes
one problem is we have had a government for the last 13 yrs (labour) telling us what to do and what not to do (eg fox hunting, banning of competitive sports days, so there no winners or losers) especially when you have someone like harriett harman in power at the time has a minister for women pushing through a law which already exists in different parts called discrimenation (race, sex, sexual orientation, religious etc). so we have had through different watchdogs a nanny state create, which was called big government which did not work. has soon the government changed this channel thought it might push the boundries because it was different philosphy and politics however the attitudes of the watchdogs (ofcom, fsa) have not changed. has someone said these are unique because they fall in within the rules of ofcom but at the sametime outside them therefore a new rule book needs to created reg no nips before 10 (this would provide "safety zone" to make sure that the channels are within the rules), no flashing of the gash, regs on the outfits. also there needs to a sliding scale of punishments accidental flashing would be a slip on the wrist but repeated flashing a fine. but serious breachs of the rules fines than suspension then removal of channel.
please the read book called 1984. the parrallels of the books we are seeing today.

This would seem the way forward for them but so far the web stream has just been showing the same as 902! You would have thought that overthe last couple of weeks they could have done this and said on air that there was another show on the web stream. It doesn't even have to be any harder than what was on the TV as after all it is the girls themselves that decide how far they want to go.
If dreams were real - I'd be knackered!!!

...the government just re-named it the Council Tax (as you imply).
Sorry, but it's not. Poll Tax was a tax on individuals within a local authority and was set at a fixed amount. It did not take into account ability to pay.
Council Tax is based on the value of your house and is per house. So if you have a house of five adults they would all contribute to the one tax. It also takes into account ability to pay as presumably the bigger your house the more income you have. NOT the same thing!
So, yes the riots and lawbreaking DID work. It was unpopular and it got changed, as happens on the continent all the time. As I said in my previous post it also happened with porn, bans were defied and the law was relaxed and on the continent drug laws were broken and the governments decided regulation was better than criminalisation. It's what being a country with free speach and democratic representation should be about - the right to protest.
So again, thanks BB for trying to give the majority what they wanted.
Workers of the world, unite!

RE: RIP Bang Babes
Arguing amongs ourselves will achieve nothing except make life easy for Ofcom. Its the "Peoples Front for the Liberation of Judea" OK*?
Whatever you or I might think about where boundaries lie, the BBFC define R18 as "more explictit sexual images" and Ofcom use BBFC definitions, sort-of, when it suits them. Gash and soft willy is 18, any touching of either is R18 - so a light rub of the inner labia counts as hardcore in their world. As does dilated held open fanny or stretched bumhole. Someone mentioned urination on one of these threads - if you can not see it coming out the BBFC says its 18 (because its implied, not explicit, and could be fake). If you can see it coming out thats R18. If it goes on someone thats beyond R18 and banned even on sex-shop DVD.
Its been suggested that on the 19th - Friday before last - there was a section where pussy could be see and 2 finger were inserted. That sounds like R18 as its penetration. No, I didn't see it either, and believe me after Wednesday I was looking.
Sadly fewer channels means many fewer 2-4-1s as there wont be as many babes in the studios who arent on breaks.
And while mass defiance sounds a great idea, fact is 90% of the population dont even know these channels exist and would not miss them. Another 1-5% know but dont care. Its not like the effect that banning alcohol would have or enforcing the speed limit on roads.
We know Ofcom are inconsistent in enforcement. In the early days they would receive a complaint about advertising content on a babe channel, review it and tell the channel off for selling knickers or shout-outs, but ignore blatant pussy rubbing, dildo use and lesbianism.
More recently they seem to swing from "I know its going on but noones complained and Im busy" to "Someones complained, Id better go through the motions" to "Bang cant be allowed to get away with this". They seem genuinely bipolar or manic-depressive. Perhaps there are toally different opinions at different levels of the organisation: Jobsworth, Lazy-Pragmatist, Rules-Freak and Insulted-Obsessive.
What would bring about a seizmic change would be for Ofcom to loose a court case.
It doesnt help that some operators are rumoured to have a pally understanding with Ofcom. They dont want R18 because they make a fortune selling DVDs and online content. They have to be seen to push the boundaries of softcore, but they are not campaigning for change. Occasionally Ofcom gives them a slap on the wrist and they mumble an apology, but its about as fake as TV wrestling.
And does anyone understand why Bang were so crap at even the basics of defending themselves, like supplying recordings or replying to compliance letters? Is it possible that someone in charge had a breakdown?

Ofcom are just following a government directive. Working to the instructions of some faceless civil servant tucked away in an office somewhere in Whitehall. Therefore it is progressive governments that decide that you, sitting alone in front of your TV's will not be allowed to cast your eyes on the delightful cunt of your favourite model. or to even spell out the word cunt on your keyboard. Such is life with censorship.
