The only issue you haven't covered is time. FoI themselves don't include enforceable dates (at least as far as I understand it) - I think the Act cites "...a reasonable timeframe" for the respondent to satisfy the request (or provides grounds for refusal or partial satisfaction).

In practice, this means citizens can wait months for a response to a FoI request.

My guess based on amount of space in Broadcasting Bulletins is that 50% of Ofcoms TV effort is spent persecuting adult channels, say 25% of their overall budget. As a taxpayer I think that is misguided waste.

Going by this it seems that ofcom only investigate when complaints are made.

Also if you look at it, bang should of really pulled out of broadcasting on freeview as all the complaints seem to be from there

Yes, as to the source of the complaints, eccles may have more information...possibly. I always figured there's a tiny, elite corps of 'professional complainers' who are basically just cynical, lonely, embittered old misery-gutses whose sole aim in life is to inconvenience and annoy as many of their fellow countrymen as they can before the grave takes them.

agree. whilst it was a good little channel they didnt have anyone who really made me want to watch it. bit harsh to say you hope bang now dies which probably wont happen

Because of the obvious loopholes and ofcocks toothless inability to enforce looks like rumours of Bangs death are greatly exaggerated to paraphrase Mark Twain.

Anyway on the upside will be a nice bonus to have the lovely Fernanda on tonight.
