Do you have to change the direction of the dish to view these channels or do you take the sky card out and just put theirs in?

Unfortunately you would have to have your dish enabled to pick up 13 degrees east Hotbird satellite or 19 degrees east astra,also you would need a reciever with a cam slot or viaccess slot to put in the card.
Almost all other countries that have satellite tv, have their boxes enabled for this,
Sky have never done this with their boxes for the sole purpose as to keep you watching Sky!!

And why would Sky supply you with a system capable of receiving another service when all they ask in return for a free box/dish/installation is that you subscribe to their minimum package for 12 months?
