I'd like to bring a different perspective to this thread.

Obviously, everybody who posts here has an opinion, hence the posts. And I think it's true to say that Danica falls into the Marmite category. Either people love her or cannot understand what the fuss is about.

Without declaring which side I fall on, I love reading these blogs.

The most ardent fans will not have a word said against her:

"see - it was her car that broke down - and after driving for hours in that awful snow as well"

whilst the marmite haters drop in with:

"Told you so - I knew it - would have bet my house on a no show".


But after a few posts from the Lady herself, there is a whole new euphoria generated by the marmite lovers who cannot wait to get confirmation of the next show.

When it comes, OMG - Our Lady is doing 2 shows, on 2 separate days in the same week. Thats no shows for a long time, then 4 in a row. Wow.

The marmite haters quickly geared up and responded with odds being offered for a no show on all occasions.


Now I don't watch any of the soaps on TV, although I did have a flutter with corrie some 20 years ago.

But let me tell you, I would not miss this thread for the world. Further, in my opinion, the writers of all of the soaps should be made to read it as well ... that might liven up normal television by using some of the story lines.


Funny though, for someone who says little off camera, and who does not appear much on camera, Danica seems to have a natural ability to generate massive interest, hugely diverse opinions and massive blog audiences.

I really cant see the same interest being shown in whether Deidrie shows up on the next episode of Corrie to be honest

I think she's from Notts Rammy...although she did compete as Miss Derby once
