I agree totally with you about the Gerrard incident which was in 2008 and there was also the dive by David Ngog against Birmingham in October 2009. These are the only 2 incidents (neither are excusable by the way) i can think of in recent years and Liverpool are on t.v as much as Man Utd are. I've given 3 examples for them in the last month alone!!!! Big Laugh Look it is beginning to sound like bitterness from a Liverpool fan but it's not intended to be that way. It hardly affects ourselves in our current position Tongue I just think it's a shame for Blackpool tonight. By the way, McManaman and Peter Walton the ref, were probably the only 2 people on planet earth who thought it wasnt a pen!!!

maybe macmanamans after andy grays job yoda. i thought blackpool were amazing for the first 55 mins then giggs started to change the game and then chico or hernandez or wotever was getting round back all time and they just died in second half blackpool, they was tired and when man utd have to step it up they can sometimes do that. i dont know if any1 does that goals galore with betfred but i pick blackpool every week cos they always score and they always conceed. theres always goals in their games and great to watch. hope they stay up.

Manchester United, love them or hate them, have an ability to turn a game because they are just good at it. Wether you like them or not, that cannot be denied.

Blackpool and other teams in the premier league have to work so hard to even have half a chance, and the problem is that when you have to run around for an hour, tiredness sets in and the better team will step up a gear.

I've always said that United are at their most dangerous when they are behind in a game.

The match report on Sky News gave Rooney a 4 (worst in either team)for his performance.... was he that bad?

spot on regenerated. i remember liverpool winning leagues and european cups and scoring late goals, and man utd have had that going back 20 years. doesnt always happen but thats no fluke the amount of times they have done it. you dont score alot of late goals by luck, sumtimes you need a bit of luck like maybe if blackpool got the penalty it might have been different but man utd carried on and after they did score i thought they would go on and win.

i think it was more tactical charlemagne. he had to change it but hes got some1 whos on form scoring goals at the minute while im not sure how many rooneys scored recently. plus i think he was playing rooney on left which i dont thinks his best position. if i watch england play, or try to play i like to see rooney playin deep but i dont think he played that badly tonight in answer to your question, just think he wasnt playing where he wanted to.

As i said in a previous post, i take nothing away from their comeback tonight. It was typical Man Utd and they do it too often for it to be flukey. I tip my hat to them. And that, coming from a Liverpool fan, is a hard thing to say!!!!!! I only had a complaint about a blatant penalty that wasnt awarded. And the immediate posts following that led to the debate about decisions for/against Liverpool and Man U.

On a more humorous subject...i found it quite ironic that the United fans were calling Charlie Adam a "scouse b*** **d" throughout the game when Wayne Rooney was standing only yards from himBig Laugh

RE: Football Banter
We do that to Rooney even after he scores - and to Michael Owen as well; it's meant as a tongue-in-cheek irony/'scouse' humour!

In the midst of Rooney's dispute with the club in October regards his contract/lack of ambition etc, I was certainly one of those who stood up as he warmed up and chanted 'you scouse bastard' because that's what he is - the guy had the chance to really force the Glazers' hand by holding on and not signing his contract unless there was clear evidence of money being made available for new players, but chose to cave in as soon as he saw the pound signs - that makes him a greedy bastard. Plus he's from Liverpool hence the chant.

As for United and penalty decisions, the most successful teams of their era have always been perceived as getting preferential treatment from referees - remember George Courtney in the 1980s with Liverpool?

The truth probably lies in the fact that the most successful teams
a) tend to be highlighted more in the press than other sides and their good fortunes tend to become back-page news; it wouldn't make such a story if say Steve Kean bitterly complained that Fulham had got a poor penalty decision, would it? And...
b) the best teams tend to spend more time in their opponents' penalty area than the lesser sides do, and...
c) they tend to be better supported, and the crowd then becomes the twelth man.

I know how you feel Master Yoda, I suffered in much the same way in the dark days of the 1980s when Liverpool seemed to score 88th minute Ian Rush winners or get late, late penalties every single fuckin' week! It wasn't really always so, but it just FELT like it...

Speaking of Steve Kean and bad penalty decisions... Did ye see the decision by Mark Clattenburg on Sunday in the Blackburn v West Brom game?? He awarded a free-kick on the edge of the box when the West Brom lad Odemwengie was taken down 2 yards INSIDE the box!!!!!

Anyways Liverpool are playing Fulham at Anfield tomorrow night. I bet it's probably gonna finish 1-0 to Liverpool with a dodgey penalty in the 90th minute, after all my giving-out tonight Big Laugh Big Laugh!!!!!

ian holloway manager of the year.

as soon as the glazers find they wont get their money back or make a profit from selling the club they will run for it and man utd will cease to exist.

man utd have only to decent players they both ready for knackers yard after next season, the rest are overrated and overpaid.
