KoRn - it's really close between them, Snot, White Zombie, Bizkit and Deftones and a few hip hop groups, but they just edge it and are the only band I've been a fan of that I've literally stood at gigs at myself and seen go from playing to as little as 40 people @ Manchester Boardwalk in 1994 then a few years down the line to 15,000 odd at M.E.N Arena and a fair few places in between.

Not so, sir! Be proud of your likes; it informs the robot that you are.Big Grin

As for me, well I've always been a fan of electronica, dance and progressive synth stuff. Not for me lots'n lots of lyrics, to be fair.
All-time fave? If I absolutely had to pick, it'd be a toss-up between the Orb and Future Sound of London.... but I'd probably go for the ... err, oh but...
No.
The Orb.* Just for the kitschy and obscure samples Alex Paterson seemed to find for every track. (And for the "Listen to the radio" moment at the start of White River Junction. In-joke.)

These days I listen to anything and prefer very little. Hmm.bladewave

*or the Berliner Philharmoniker under von Karajan; masterful.

Missing key events. Talking bollocks. Making stuff up.

I've liked all sorts of bands from The Kinks to Queen to Oasis to Muse but if i had to pick my favourite it would probably be Guns N' Roses (before it all went tits upTongue)

Judge me by my size do you? Hmmm? Hmmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the force. And a powerful ally it is.

I think most of us would have difficulty choosing just one Band,i like U2,Coldplay,Oasis,Queen,Beatles,Rolling Stones, the list just goes on and on,at one time i could'nt stop playing Jean Michelle Jarre, but the one Band i probally listened to the most was Dire Straits simply because of Mark Knopfler,i love the sound he produces,i could go on and on,just one last thing to "Alexfury" never apologise for what you like.

Its so good to be insane

RE: Who's your favourite band?
Like is the case with many others' choices, it depends on what mood I'm in.

When I first got into music it was definitely The Smiths; I tended to hang on every quote of Morrissey's, be it in the papers or wherever, and I suppose he remains my all-time music idol to this day, even though sadly he has now become a rather sad parody of himself I'm afraid.

Nowadays the bands who most do it for me are Death Cab For Cutie, The Decemberists and Thirteen Senses.

I'm very much into Keane, and through this a mate of mine introduced me to Thirteen Senses; one play of their debut album The Invitation was enough to convince me that he was right in saying that they are better than Keane, but without getting the breaks, publicity etc that sometimes makes/breaks a band. Their third album has just arrived today through the post, and will probably take a bit of getting used to, but it'll be a happy choreSmile

Someone who heard Thirteen Senses through my sister then told her they actually sound more like Death Cab For Cutie, so I bought Plans by them and now regard them as my favourite band; the Washington State four-piece are like Coldplay but with consistently better songs. New album out soon, but bracing myself for something less than the usual standard as singer Benjanmin Gibbard has married actress Zoeey Deschanel since the last album, and being all loved-up is a potential recipe for disaster regards creativity methinksSad

Finally The Decemberists, from Portland, Oregon. The brainchild of singer/songwriter Colin Meloy, they merge olde age folk, sea shanties and indie to create wonderfully creative albums, and I'll be seeing them in Birmingham on 7 March and in Manchester on 10 March - can't waitBig Grin
