Maybe its a technical issue and I am useless with technology . Anyway I see that the GIRL CALLER black box has already made an appearance while Michelle is on BS1. Most of the left side of the screen wiped out then. There are times her face is just blocked out. And now the full screen flashing black box. Bonkers

You have to do a search for 'add new channels', it will probably be in the menu somewhere so press your 'menu' button and have a look. Its best to do a new search every month or so as new channels often come on and you may not get them without searching for them.

Two boxes onscreen with Paige. One is advertising that she's going on holiday, so call her while you can. The other? Advertising a girl caller

And Michelle has two boxes for company too. One is showing a picture you can buy (with a strategic black box), and the other is extolling the virtue of not having a black box in the way. Oh, sweet irony

It's been said that a monkey hitting keys at random on a typewriter keyboard for an infinite amount of time will almost surely type a given text, such as the complete works of William Shakespeare.

However I believe even if they had an infinite number of OSG monkeys twatting about with boxes with irrelevant text, they'd be hard pressed to knock out a single sentence other than "We're a bunch of complete fuck-wits and don't give a rats arse about the viewers as we make all our money from the phones so you lot moaning will make fuck all difference now or indeed at any time in the future".

OK - so whilst the above is all in jest (and not meant to upset or hurt anyone's feelings), it sort of makes a valid point. Money makes the decision here, and even if only 1% viewing take any action from the OSG and call or buy a picture, they're still making even more profit. So chances of this reducing any time soon are unlikely (especially given the current financial climate).

What about the other side of the coin? To get any callers at all they first need to have viewers.

We on this forum probably represent the diehards of their viewing public, and many of our members have said that they no longer watch or call because of the OSG obstructions and the ad interruptions. If we're this pissed off it's a fair bet that a very large proportion of casual viewers (i.e. potential callers), most of whom don't even know this forum exists, take one look and quickly flick over to another channel and never come back. Cellcast might well be losing far more business than any they're creating. 'Babestation' claims that receipts are up, but with ever more viewers turning to digital and discovering the channels for the first time, that's almost inevitable.

In this ever-moving market they have no way of judging the true effect of their actions.

Absolutely - viewers are realistically their key source of income as advertising and word of mouth get you only so far. So yes, if they piss off potential viewers then it would over time impact their bottom line.
Without an understanding of their business model, who can say what the real aim of all the adverts and OSGs are. Clearly the fact that they've been going on for so long means they are important to someone.

For me I made the decision long ago that I don't call or buy pics, so I'm just a viewer. Due to their OSGs and BSXtreme adverts they get a passing quick view as I trawl the 900's and then settle on another channel. Even when my absolute favourite ladies from cellcast are on like Tiffany or Paige, I'm more likely to watch another channel.

Yesterday afternoon I spent sorting out who was on the 15 DVD's that I had recorded of ch46 PartyGirls from between Oct 2008 and Mar 2009 which had been stuck away in a draw and not viewed since the show ended. Although there were never any OSG blocking the view of the girls due to the screen setup, I was surprised that there was still a lot of advertising of the girls pics taking place with full screen adverts. I don't remember it being annoying at the time or seeing forum posts complaining about it like there are now. I think it was because the adverts mostly came at the girls changeovers, which were more frequent then, and not as interuptions.
No Xtreme to advertise in those days either.

Back to Babestation : I think a smaller fixed screen area for the girls with no OSG, and all the phone numbers and advertising crap outside that area might be a better format.

What happened with the redesigned and less intrusive OSG's that were due pre-Christmas then rescheduled to launch shortly after Christmas?

Yes i was just about to post on this thread and ask the same question myself but you beat me to it , it's now February and still no sign of the new improved OSGs system that "Babstation" said would be launched pre-Christmas and then put back to after Christmas , Babstation probably meant next Christmas or the one after that , it looks like the new OSG format has probably been axed altogether to me , it looks like we are saddled with the ones we have now for the foreseeable future

If it wasn't for all the onscreen crap I might actually watch babestation.As it is I just skip over it to find another channel.

They obviously can't keep a promise!!!!!! DO IT NOW OR EXPLAIN WHY IT HASN'T HAPPENED!! I'm giving you until Valentine's Day to respond!!
