A lot of the sports news sites and sky themselves were reporting Wednesday night that Chris Hughton was to be unveiled as manager which prompted West Brom to make an official statement yesterday saying them reports were just pure speculation and wide of the mark.
Roy has now been confirmed as manager. I hope he does a great job, best of luck to him. It'll be very interesting now when Liverpool travel to The Hawthorns on April 2nd!!
Judge me by my size do you? Hmmm? Hmmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the force. And a powerful ally it is.

If it's true and he accepts the position then I wish him all the success in the world. Although it didnt work out for him at LFC, he is still a good coach and a very decent man.
west brom is more suited to him than liverpool, fulham and west brom are similar type of club.
I had feeling hudgson would get it, exprience of beating the drop.

houghton the most unluckiest man in football, sacked for doing a too good of a job at newcastle and then loses out to a manager which nearly put a club into the relegation zone.
i went to trent bridge to watch england v pakistan (now we all know they took backhanders to to ball no balls) ticket price for my seat £60. which the days play stopped at 5pm, 1hr to 1hr 30 mins short. it can be justified to have high ticket prices for the big games but games at against teams like wigan, west brom etc a suitable price would about £20 to £30, some club dont realise that if you lower the prices you get more people in spending money than you do with high prices plus with more people the atmosphere is better (apart from chelsea, man utd and arsenal where they seem to be quiet).
some clubs have had a change it a type of supporter, some clubs which had a working class history now a middle class/wealthy background. clubs are closing their touch with their grassroot surporters with their efforts with corporate boxes.
